In line with the Mitchell Shire SHOP LOCAL initiative, we were tasked with developing a school program and launch campaign that would stimulate excitement and encourage residents to support local traders. Targeted at the families of 10-12-year olds and driven through local primary schools, Sidedoor created amusing caricatures whose job was to reinforce the Shop Local message in a way that was friendly and engaging. Rollout included campaign collateral, branded merchandise, transit ads and launch video. The campaign received high exposure in the community with retailers asking to be involved in future programs. In additional, our campaign was awarded silver in the Melbourne Design Awards 2014.
